Alexandra
   Gerber

Alexandra Gerber is a Swiss-French designer based in London, where she founded Alexandra Gerber Studio in 2016. Her work is grounded in functionality and a considered approach to materials, translating clear concepts into everyday objects, often informed by techniques and aesthetics from other industries. The studio develops products and installations, working in furniture and lighting, as well as with fashion, consumer goods, and gallery projects. Her clients include NINE, HAY, Eternit, Alyx and Selahatin, alongside galleries such as Okro Gallery and Second Nature. She graduated from ESAD Strasbourg and ECAL Lausanne.

Low
   Chair

The Low Chair reduces construction to its essentials: one material, two parts, no fixings. Made from folded steel, the compact, collapsible chair is composed of two interlocking elements that slot together without glue or screws. Stability is achieved through compression and leverage. Comfort is defined by geometry and proportion.

The Low Chair is Koivu’s latest collaboration with Swiss-French designer Alexandra Gerber: an all-metal low chair in development, ahead of its launch later this year.
